Mega Superbet basketball players delivered another great performance in the Winline Basket Cup, as they followed up their triumph over CSKA Moscow with an overtime victory against Lokomotiv Kuban, 103–100 (37:24, 12:27, 16:20, 22:16, 16:13), at the Ranko Žeravica Sports Hall.

Vule Avdalović’s team opened the game strongly, taking a double-digit lead in the first quarter, but the opponent managed to turn things around by halftime. What followed was a big battle in the second half — Mega managed to tie the game, even had a shot to win in regulation, but was a bit unlucky not to close it out at the end of the fourth quarter. In overtime, Mega was more persistent and focused, earning a well-deserved victory and improving its record to 2–0.

Mega Superbet head coach Vule Avdalović shared his impressions after the game:

– We started the game very well, but in the second quarter we relaxed — I’m not sure why — and allowed too many fast-break points that we couldn’t stop. They’re simply a very good team. I’m glad we managed to come back. It was a very interesting game and a great experience for all of us. Congratulations to the guys who carried the game at the end and deservedly won.
