Convincing victory in Novo Mesto for the end of the season in the ABA league!

In the remaining game of the 16th round of the ABA League, Mega Mozzart defeated Krka on road with 62:79 (10:23, 15:16, 20:20, 17:20). Coach Vladimir Jovanović’s team came to a convincing victory in Novo Mesto, as they controlled the game and the result during the entire course of the match, and in the end, with a convincing triumph, they definitely avoided playing a play-out for survival in the ABA league.

The most efficient in Mega’s ranks were Karlo Matkovic with 14 points and Nikola Jovic and Matej Rudan with 13. Jurij Macura and Leon Stergar stood out in the Krka with 13 points each.

Mega finished the season in the ABA league with a score 10-16, while Krka was last with 4 wins and 22 defeats.

Mega started the game with Smith, Cazalon, Jovic, Simanic, Matkovic, which worked well with two triples by Cazalon and two dunks by Jovic in the counter for 6:14. Mega’s great defense continued with a few blocks, the advantage grew from minute to minute to a big plus 15, and the result at the end of the first quarter was 10:23.

Mega had problems in the attack in the second quarter, so Krka was only 6 points behind, 23:29. Mega maintained the advantage in the third quarter with points from the paint, the difference ranged from 12 to 17 points, and with the points of Rudan in the last seconds, Mega has a plus 14 before the last quarter, 45:59.

In the last quarter, Mega’s victory was never in question, the advantage went up to 23 points, and the final result was 62:79.
