JOVANOVIC: “CONGRATULATIOS TO MY GUYS ON THE SEASON, I AM SATISFIED WITH THE RESULT AND PROGRESS OF MY PLAYERS”

In the remaining game of the 16th round of the ABA League, Mega Mozzart defeated Krka on road with 62:79 (10:23, 15:16, 20:20, 17:20). Coach Vladimir Jovanovic’s team came to a convincing victory in Novo Mesto, as they controlled the game and the result during the entire course of the match, and in the end, with a convincing triumph, they definitely avoided playing a play-out for survival in the ABA league.

Mega finished the season with a score of 10-16, and at the press conference after the game in Novo Mesto, Mega Mozzart’s coach Vladimir Jovanović congratulated his players on the entire season:

– In the introductory announcements before the game, I did not want to put special pressure on my team, considering that we are very young and we have shown this year in those conditions that we are not at our maximum, no matter how much it is. The match was definitely very important. Krka has a lot of quality players, even with Euroleague experience, which I expected to be at their level. It turned out that we played the game very well from the first to the last minute with very small interruptions and drops in concentration. We were good especially in defense, for which I would praise my team. I wouldn’t say that we decided the game early, but those ten plus that we had the whole game were crucial in the fourth quarter to break it and come to a bigger difference and bring it to the end. I would like to congratulate my guys on the whole turbulent season, not to mention viruses, injuries and everything else. I am satisfied with the result on the table, and with the progress of my young players this year. I would just like to say a few more words about my colleague Dalibor. I understand what situation they are in, and knowing how dedicated he is and with his human qualities, I believe that they will manage to get out of this and I hope that after a year break they will be able to return to the ABA league. They have shown that they need to be here, they have been a standard ABA league team for years, they have a history of staying here, the Euroleague and the players who came here and I would say they are important for this league,

said Jovanovic.
