MEGA WITHOUT A WIN AGAINST ZADAR IN SREMSKA MITROVICA

Mega Bemax failed to achieve win in the 18th round of ABA league since Zadar celebrated in Sremska Mitrovica with 85:97 (19:20, 26:30, 20:25, 20:22). The players of coach Dejan Milojevic were trailing during the biggest part of the match, so that after minus 15 they succeded to cut minus to only 3 points in the last quarter, but in the finish Zadar was better and eventually came to victory. The coach of Mega Bemax at this match could not count on Adam Mokoka and Kostja Mushidi.

The most effective in the ranks of Mega Bemax were Nikola Miskovic with 25 points and Luka Asceric with 12. In Zadar, Kvame Vaughn scored 23 points.

After the 18th round of the ABA league, Mega Bemax has a score of 9-9 while Zadar has 6 wins. In the next round on February 8, at 6 pm, Mega Bemax will host Krka.

Dejan Milojevic started the match with Carapić, Marjanovic, Atic, Miskovic and Nikolic. Many missed shots at the start of the match on both sides, but in the middle of the quarter Zadar managed to get to the first advantage, 6:13. After the Milojevic’s time-put, Mega through Miskovic and Stanic gets back, then Cerovina hits triple, so that Miskovic’s new points score after the first 10 minutes of the game is 19:20.

Stanic and Fundic used good assistances of Ratkovica and Carapic fr a lead of 23:20. Spralja hits three for guests, but Cerovina corresponds with the same measure. Series of Zadar 0:7 interrupts Nikolic with dunk under a foul. Zadar hits new threes and in the middle of the quarter got back to plus 7. Asceric with a series of points does not allow guests to pull away, but guests manage to keep their lead at the half-time, 45:50.

A very bad start to the second half for Mega where Zadar managed to gain the advantage of 15 points, 50:65. Mega makes a series of 8:0 with three pointers of Miskovic and Marjanovic, but with a few missed free throws of Mega, Zadar manages to keep the lead and the result before the last 10 minutes of the game is 65:75.

The furious start of the last quarter for players of Mega where they make a series 7:0 for a minute and half of game, so the result is 72:75. There followed a bad period in Mega’s game on both sides of the court, for several minutes they were without points, which Zadar used to return a double-digit advantage. By the end of the match, Mega did not manage to endanger the victory of Zadar, which in the end celebrated with 85:97.
