RHAPSODY OF MEGA BEMAX AT THE PREMIERE OF ABA SEASON IN MITROVICA FOR PLUS 28 AGAINST FMP

Mega Bemax basketball players in a great atmosphere in front of 1,500 spectators in the PSC Pinki Hall in Sremska Mitrovica managed to convincingly beat FMP with 89:61 (17:15, 23:20, 26:16, 23:10) within the 2nd round of ABA League. The players of Dejan Milojevic played a great match from start to finish with a lot of attractive moves on both sides of the court, and the match was resolved in the end of the third quarter when they separated to 15 points difference. The coach of Mega Bemax at this match could not count on injured Branislav Ratkovica.

The most effective in the ranks of Mega Bemax were Adam Mokoka with 16 points and Nikola Miskovic and Goga Bitadze with 14 points. Stefan Pot with 16 points showed up in the FMP team.

At the beginning of the match there were not many points on both sides, so in the middle quarter the result was 8:7 for Mega. Fundic is well under the basket, and then Bitadze hits 2 times under the foul, so Mega leads 16:11. In the finish of quarter FMP punished 2 mistakes in the Mega defense and the result is 17:15 after the first 10 minutes.

The second quarter opens Miskovic with fadeaway  and a triple and the home team leads 22:15. Mega’s players slowed down a bit, but the defense functioned well. Mokoka and Fundic are good in the paint, Mega managed with counters to keep the advantage at halftime so result was 40:35.

After halftime pause, Fundic is good on both sides, the advantage of Mega ranges from 6 to 9 points during the largest part of the third quarter. However, in the great finish of Mega, Asceric and Carapic hit the triples for 66:51 before the last 10 minutes of the game.

In the last quarter, Asceric bundles 9 points in a short period, Miskovic and Goga joined, after which Mega’s advantage has increased to 25 points, so that the match ends with 28 points difference in favor of Mega, 89:61.
