Players of Mega Leks recorded a fourth consecutive victory since within the 23rd round of the ABA league and for the first time defeated Cibona in Zagreb with 82:89 (19:23, 20:28, 24:20, 19:18). Mega in most of the match controlled the game and managed to repel several attacks of Cibona and in the end deserved triumph. Even six players of Mega reached double figures and beside that, Mega had 16 offensive rebounds.

Dejan Milojevic started the match with the following five: Jaramaz, Luwawu-Cabarrot, Simeunovic, Nikolic and Jankovic. First points of the match achieved Simeunovic from layup after offensive rebound of Jankovic. At the beginning of the game we’ve seen equalized game and after a three pointer from Luwawu-Cabarrot, Mega reaches 12:10 after 5 minutes. The next few minutes Mega played great defense, which resulted in a series of 0:9 for the result 12:21. After one steal of Jaramaz, Ivanovic has found Kaba who effectively dunk under a foul. Cibona responded with a series of 7:0, and the first quarter final score was 19:23.

Mega has played well at the start of the second period and a great defense resulted in several turnovers of Cibona and after a dunk Jankovic, Mega reached the first double-digit lead, 23:33. The next few minutes were played basket for basket, a double-digit lead (32:42) returns Luwawu-Cabarrot with “coast to coast” dunk. Mega with threes of Luwawu-Cabarrot and Zagorac managed to repel an attack Cibona and the result after the third quarter was 63:71.
Mega fails to resolve match at the beginning of the last quarter but the home team managed to reduce to 72:75. Mega then had a series 0:7 where Jaramaz hit three and Nikolic with had a block and then a semi-hook shot for plus 10, 72:82. An end to the match Jaramaz with a new three after rebound of Zagorac. The match finished 82-89.

After 23 rounds, Mega Leks is in 4th place in the standings with a record of 16 wins and 7 losses while Cibona have 10 wins and 13 losses. In the next round on February 13th, from 7 pm, Mega Leks welcomes in Sremska Mitrovica Union Olimpija.
