Biography
Luigi Suigo was born on January 29, 2007, in Tradate, Italy. He is 220 centimeters tall and plays the center position. He joined Mega at the beginning of the 2025/26 season from Olimpia Milano, where he had played since 2022, having previously worn the jersey of Varese. At the 2025 Junior EuroLeague Final Tournament in Abu Dhabi, he averaged 14.5 points and 5.7 rebounds over four games, standing out in the final against Žalgiris with 21 points, 11 rebounds, and four assists, for a performance index rating of 33. For his excellent performances in the Milan jersey, he was named to the All-Tournament Team.
While playing for Olimpia Milano, he was a two-time Italian junior champion and was also once selected to the All-Star Five at that level. He also won two junior Next Gen tournaments in Italy, where he was nominated for MVP.
He represented Italy in 2024 at the U18 EuroBasket and the U17 World Cup, and over the previous two years he also participated in Basketball Without Borders (BWB) camps. He made his debut for the senior Italian national team in November 2025 during the World Cup qualifiers, recording two points and two rebounds against Lithuania.
