BANJICA MEGA U15 TEAM FALLS JUST SHORT OF THE TITLE
The Banjica Mega U15 team came up just short of winning the Serbian U15 League title, falling to Crvena zvezda 103-98 (24-31, 30-27, 23-20, 26-20) in the Final Tournament championship game after a hard-fought battle.
Coached by Uroš Matić, Banjica Mega opened the game strongly and built an early lead in the first quarter, holding the advantage until the middle of the third period. Mega regained control afterward and entered the final 10 minutes ahead, before the game turned into a fierce battle down the stretch. Crvena zvezda managed to pull away in the closing moments and secure the title-winning victory.
Relja Sinđelić led Mega with 28 points and 19 rebounds for a PIR of 40, while Pavle Gavrilović added 23 points and 10 rebounds (PIR 32). Aleksandar Savić contributed 18 points and five assists, while Leon Bosnić recorded 16 points, six rebounds, and five assists. Nikša Avdalović chipped in with 11 points.
It marked the third time Banjica Mega finished runner-up in the competition. The club previously won the title in 2022 and 2017, while also finishing second in 2024 and 2016.
