GREAT SECOND HALF BY MEGA SUPERBET FOR A WIN IN NOVO MESTO

Mega Superbet basketball players recorded their third consecutive victory in the ABA League, defeating Krka on the road in Novo Mesto 82–78 (21:22, 20:24, 29:14, 12:18) in Round 4 of the Play-out phase. The team coached by Vule Avdalović trailed after the first 20 minutes, but took control in the third quarter and turned the game around, then held onto the lead in the fourth quarter. With this win, they improved their record to 9–11, handing Krka their 13th loss (7–13).

The standout performers for Mega Superbet were Bogoljub Marković with 20 points and eight rebounds (efficiency rating 22), and Urban Kroflič, who set a career-high in the ABA League with 24 points (5 rebounds, efficiency 20). They were supported by Karel Luk with 14 and Luigi Suigo with 11 points.

For Krka, Žan Smrekar scored 15 points, Suhmail Maton added 13, Jan Rebec had 12, while Urban Oman contributed 10 points.

The home team opened the game much better, taking an 11:2 lead, but Mega responded with a 10:0 run to turn things around. A tight battle continued until the end of the first quarter, which Krka narrowly won (22:21). The teams kept exchanging the lead early in the second quarter, but the Slovenian side managed to pull away in the latter part and went into halftime ahead 46:41.

After the break, Avdalović’s team started to take control. In just over two minutes, they turned the score around. Krka stayed close for a few more minutes, but Mega finished the third quarter with an 11:2 run, entering the final period with a double-digit lead (70:60). The hosts managed to cut the deficit in half midway through the fourth quarter, but Mega held firm and secured another valuable victory.

In the next, fifth round of the ABA League Play-out phase, Mega Superbet will visit Split, with the game scheduled for March 22 at 18:00 at Gripe.
