AVDALOVIĆ: “A VERY IMPORTANT WIN, I HOPE WE CONTINUE IN THIS RHYTHM”

Mega Superbet basketball players recorded their third consecutive victory in the ABA League, defeating Krka on the road in Novo Mesto 82–78 (21:22, 20:24, 29:14, 12:18) in Round 4 of the Play-out phase. The team led by Vule Avdalović trailed after the first 20 minutes, but took control in the third quarter and turned the game around, then held onto the lead in the fourth quarter. With this win, they improved their record to 9–11, handing Krka their 13th loss (7–13).

Mega Superbet head coach Vule Avdalović shared his impressions at the post-game press conference:

– An interesting game, uncertain in terms of the score throughout. The third quarter influenced the final outcome, where we played the way we should play for all 40 minutes in every game. We had some bad luck with Andrej Mušicki’s injury after three minutes of play, which shortened our rotation, and it’s hard to maintain a high level for all 40 minutes with a reduced rotation. A very important win for us – Krka are a good opponent, they have an excellent coach, experienced players, quality foreigners, and it’s certainly not easy to win here. I would like to congratulate my team on a truly important victory, and I hope we will continue in this rhythm. This is our third consecutive win; we are going to Split and we will try to play at a similar level to secure another victory,

said Avdalović.

In the next, fifth round of the ABA League Play-out phase, Mega Superbet will visit Split, with the game scheduled for March 22 at 18:00 at Gripe.
