RADIVOJ KORAĆ CUP TIPS OFF: MEGA SUPERBET TO FACE OKK BEOGRAD IN THE QUARTERFINALS — AVDALOVIĆ: “WE MUST BE FULLY FOCUSED FROM THE FIRST SECOND”
Mega Superbet is set to take part in another Radivoj Korać Cup, which will be held this year at Čair Hall in Niš from February 18 to 21. Mega Superbet will face OKK Beograd in the quarterfinals, with the game scheduled for Thursday, February 19 at 17:00.
Ahead of the tournament in Niš, Mega Superbet head coach Vule Avdalović shared his expectations.
“Our first game in the Cup is against OKK Beograd. It’s a matchup that has special meaning for me personally because I spent three seasons there and I know most of their players and coaching staff. I’m aware of how hungry they are for success and how dangerous they can be once they find their rhythm. We must be fully focused from the first second, control the rebounds, and prevent their transition game, which is their biggest strength,” Avdalović said.
Mega Superbet will compete for the Žućko’s Left Hand trophy with the following roster: Kajrel Luke, Marko Vukčević, Aleksa Milenković, Asim Đulović, Lazar Gačić, Bogoljub Marković, Andrej Mušicki, Savo Drezgić, Urban Kroflič, Abdraman Sibi, Ognjen Srzentić, and Luiđi Suigo.
Urban Kroflič is aware of the challenge awaiting him and his teammates in Čair.
“The first Cup game is always the most challenging. We’re facing a team we know very well. It will be a real test at the start of the tournament. We’re taking it step by step, game by game. Our goal is to go all the way,” Kroflič added.
Mega Superbet has reached the Radivoj Korać Cup final five times, winning the trophy once, in 2016.ž
