AVDALOVIĆ: “BUDUĆNOST IS TOO BIG A CHALLENGE FOR US AT THIS MOMENT, WE NEED TO LEARN FROM IT”
Mega Superbet suffered a defeat in Round 12 of the ABA League, losing on the road in Podgorica to Budućnost VOLI, 100–82 (31–19, 22–19, 22–20, 25–24). Vule Avdalović’s team found itself in a double-digit deficit after just 10 minutes of play, responded much better in the second quarter and generally showed improvement in the remainder of the game, but failed to close the gap. The hosts maintained their advantage throughout and secured the win, improving their record to 9–2, while Mega dropped to 3–8 after the loss at Morača.
Mega Superbet head coach Vule Avdalović shared his impressions at the post-game press conference:
“I would like to congratulate Budućnost on a well-deserved victory. Above all, they made a big difference in the first half, where they showed the high level of quality they possess. We had no answer today for their best player, Rasheed Sulaimon. I think we showed a better image in the second half, when at certain moments we responded to their quality play with our own quality on offense. For us, at this moment, this was too big a challenge—Budućnost is currently a more complete team than we are. It’s up to us to draw lessons from this and prepare for the games ahead, and try to record a win,” said Avdalović.
Mega Superbet will play its next ABA League game on January 5, 2026, when it hosts Vienna at the Ranko Žeravica Sports Hall in Round 13.
