MEGA SUPERBET JUNIORS TO COMPETE IN A TOURNAMENT IN BARCELONA

The Mega Superbet Juniors have traveled to Spain, where they will take part in the “Ciutat de L’Hospitalet” tournament in Barcelona from December 18 to 20.

Eight teams will compete in the tournament, including the strongest Spanish sides. Mega Superbet have been drawn in Group B alongside Barcelona, Joventut Badalona, and Baskonia. Group A features Real Madrid, Valencia, Žalgiris, and L’Hospitalet.

Mega Super Juniors head coach Dejan Pejić shared his expectations:

“Ahead of us is a traditional friendly basketball tournament in Spain, which we expect to be extremely high-quality and physically demanding. It’s a great opportunity for us to play games against strong European teams at the junior level and to gain new experience,” Pejić said.

The tournament was first held in 1980 and over the years has earned a reputation as one of the most important competitions for the development of young basketball talents, often attracting the attention of scouts and clubs from across Europe.

Mega Superbet Juniors will play their first game on Thursday at 4:00 PM, against Joventut Badalona. On Saturday, the semifinals and placement games are scheduled, along with the final, as well as a three-point shooting contest.
