AVDALOVIĆ: “OUR APPROACH WASN’T THE SAME AS IN THE WIN OVER BOSNA”
Mega Superbet’s basketball team failed to secure their second win in the ABA League, falling in Round 3 after a hard-fought game on the road in Vienna, 81–88 (24:19, 19:28, 24:29, 14:21). Coach Vule Avdalović’s team started the match well and held a lead after the first quarter, but were already trailing by halftime. They responded in the third quarter, entering the final period with a tied score, but the more experienced home side managed to take control in the final minutes to secure the victory. After three rounds, Mega holds a 1–2 record, while Vienna improved to 2–1.
Mega Superbet head coach Vule Avdalović shared his thoughts at the post-game press conference:
– I think we didn’t have the same approach as we did in the win against Bosna. We had 24 turnovers – it’s very hard to win a game like that. Also, our defense wasn’t good, especially one-on-one. In some situations, we simply didn’t want to commit a foul, and that’s the worst part. All of these things led to this result,
Avdalović said.
In the next round, Mega Superbet visits Crvena zvezda, with the game scheduled for Saturday, October 25 at 8:00 PM.
