MEGA SUPERBET TO FACE INDIANA UNIVERSITY THIS SUMMER IN PUERTO RICO

Basketball club Mega Superbet, as has become tradition, will begin preparations for the new season with friendly matches at exotic destinations. This August, Mega will play two games against Indiana University in Puerto Rico. The matches are scheduled for August 9 and 11 and will take place at the renowned Roberto Clemente Coliseum in San Juan.

This won’t be the first time Mega and Indiana face off during pre-season. In the summer of 2021, the two teams played a pair of exhibition games in the Bahamas.

Indiana University is a five-time NCAA champion, and it’s especially noteworthy that in 1976, they became the last team to win the title with an undefeated season. In the announcement of their summer tour in Puerto Rico, head coach Darian DeVries said he is excited and happy to be playing two great games against Mega.

Mega’s general manager, Goran Ćakić, emphasized that he is pleased the tradition continues and that Mega is recognized as a reliable partner for NCAA teams:

“We are continuing the tradition, our senior team will once again have a great opportunity to test their strength as part of the preparations for the upcoming season against one of the best universities in the United States. The games on August 9 and August 11 against Indiana University in the exotic destination of Puerto Rico will be another great experience for our club. We extend our gratitude to the Indiana team for the invitation, as well as to the CSM agency for the excellent long-term cooperation.”

Games against NCAA teams during summer preparations have become a tradition for Mega, as in previous years they have clashed with American college teams such as Michigan, Virginia, and Kentucky. Last year, they played two games against the NBA G League Select Team in Santa Cruz.
