MEGA SUPERBET BREAKS BORAC’S RESISTANCE IN THE FINAL QUARTER TO RECORD A NEW WIN

Mega Superbet recorded another victory in the second phase of the ABA League, defeating Borac from Čačak 95–77 (26:28, 20:16, 22:21, 27:12) in a Round 3 matchup at Ranko Žeravica Sports Hall. Coached by Vule Avdalović, Mega pulled away in the final quarter, breaking their opponent’s resistance within a few minutes and building a large lead that they comfortably maintained until the end. With this win, Mega moved up to second place in the play-out standings with a record of 8–11, while Borac remained at seven wins (7–12).

The standout performers for Mega Superbet were Bogoljub Marković with 20 points and six rebounds (index 27), and Savo Drezgić with 19 points and six assists (index 27). Luigi Suigo recorded a double-double with 10 points and 12 rebounds, while Kairel Luke added 15 points.

For Borac, Aleksa Uskoković scored 16 points, while Joshua Pierre-Louis, Pavle Nikolić, and Stefan Fundić contributed 10 points each.

The game started evenly, with both teams trading baskets in the opening minutes, before the visitors pulled ahead midway through the first quarter (20:13) and later built a double-digit lead. However, Mega closed the first quarter strong with a 10–2 run to cut the deficit to just two points (26:28). Borac maintained a slight lead in the second quarter, but Avdalović’s team didn’t allow them to pull away—and then came the turnaround. Suigo’s dunk gave Mega the lead, which they held going into halftime (46:44).

Mega extended the lead to 52:46 early in the third quarter, but Borac responded and stayed close. The visitors even tied the game with two minutes left in the quarter (63:63), but Kroflič and Drezgić ensured Mega entered the final period with an advantage (68:65). What followed was a dominant stretch—Mega broke their opponent’s resistance and steadily increased the lead. The margin kept growing throughout the final quarter, reaching 17 points with three minutes remaining, making the outcome clear—another win for Mega Superbet.

In the next round of the ABA League play-out phase, Mega Superbet will face Krka away in Novo Mesto on March 19 at 18:00.
