U15 BANJICA MEGA ONE STEP AWAY FROM THE TITLE!

The U15 Banjica Mega team have advanced to the final of the domestic championship’s final F8 tournament, after defeating Sport’s World 69-61 (18-7, 13-16, 16-18, 22-20) in the semifinals. Coach Dejan Pejić’s team gained a double-digit lead in the first quarter, holding their opponents to a single-digit score. Although the guests managed to halve the deficit over the next two quarters, Banjica Mega maintained their lead and secured victory in the decisive 10 minutes, putting them one step away from the Serbian championship title.

Lun Jarc led the team with a double-double of 21 points and 12 rebounds, earning a PIR of 24, making him the most valuable player for the winning team. He was followed by David Iordanchescu with 16 points, along with four assists and steals (PIR 16), and Petar Bjelica with 11 points and five rebounds. Maksimilijan-Konstantin Papan added six points but grabbed 11 rebounds and made three steals for a double-digit PIR of 11.

The U15 Banjica Mega team will compete for their third Serbian championship title against either Crvena Zvezda or Partizan. The final is scheduled for Sunday, May 19, at 19:00 in the City Park Hall in Arilje.
