Juniors of Mega MIS ended their participation in another final ANGT tournament of the Junior Euroleague with a convincing triumph against their peers from Joventut, 75:94 (22:28, 15:23, 27:26, 11:17). Dragoljub Avramović’s team already gained a serious advantage in the first half, preserved it in the third quarter, and then in the last quarter in a dominant manner secured the victory.
Bogoljub Marković excelled with a powerful double-double of 24 points and 16 rebounds for a PIR of 43. He was accompanied by the first scorer of the team in Kaunas, Filip Jović, with 28 points, and Asim Đulović with 24. Đorđe Ćurčić was also in double figures with 13 points, while Andrej Mušicki recorded ten assists.
Mega MIS ended the group stage with a score of 2-1, but with an eight-point defeat to the Next Generation team in the second round, they were left with no chance of qualifying for the finals, and Europe, in the competition of players under 18 years of age, will get a new champion. Also, Mega finished with a positive score once again, participating in the final tournaments of the Junior Euroleague, in which it has been a regular participant since 2016.
The victory over the champion of Spain put an end to the 2022/23 season, during which the junior selection of Mega MIS played 48 games and won the title of champion of Serbia, the U19 ABA league, the Rising Stars tournament in Patras, the qualifying ANGT tournament of the junior Euroleague in Belgrade and came close to qualifying for the finals in Kaunas.
