GREAT MEGA CONVINCING AGAINST PARTIZAN FOR THE FINALS OF SUPER LEAGUE

Fantastic game of Mega and victory against Partizan for a historic placement in the finals of the Super League!

In the decisive third game of the semifinals of the playoffs of the Serbian Super League, Mega Soccerbet convincingly defeated Partizan NIS with 82:68 (18:17, 25:18, 19:18, 20:15) and thus, for the first time in the club’s history, they advanced to the Super League playoff finals. In the match that was played without the presence of the audience in the Mega Factory Hall, the players of coach Vladimir Jovanovic practically controlled the game and the result for the entire match, and in the end they deservedly came to a great victory.

The most efficient in the ranks of Mega were Malcolm Cazalon with 18 points and Marko Simonovic with 17. In the Partizan, the best was Ognjen Jaramaz with 19 points.

With this victory, Mega advanced to the finals of the playoffs of the Serbian championship for the first time in the club’s history, where they will meet the better team from the semifinals series between Crvena zvezda mts and Borac.

Mega started the match with the following five: Novak, Milosavljevic, Cazalon, Simonovic, Petrushev. The beginning of the match is marked by two players, Filip Petrusev who tied six points and Ognjen Jaramaz who gave eight points. After Simonovic’s triple for 14:13, Mega was without points for a few minutes, which Partizan used to reach plus 3, but Matkovic hit one free throw and then Cerovina hit triple for 18:17 after the first quarter.

Cerovina with two threes the second quarter for the advantage of Mege 24:17. Partizan reaches its first points in this section, but Mega reaches plus eight through Simanic and Tepic’s triple, 31:23. Cazalon and Simanic responded to Partizan’s points, it is Cazalon who brings plus 11 for Mega with a triple in the last minute, but Jaramaz responds with the same measure, so the result at halftime is 43:35 with an injury to Mika who did not return to the field.

Partizan opened the second half better and with the points of Dangubic and Paige, they were two points behind 46:44, but after Jovanovic’s time-out, Mega immediately responded with a run of 8:0 with six points by Petrusev. The guests are six points behind through Stepanovic, but Cazalon hits the shot off the board for plus one, and then Cerovina, after a feint shot, scores for plus 11 for Mega. Matkovic is halfway precise from the free throw line, and then Zagorac hits a three-pointer for Partizan for the result of 62:53 at the end of the third quarter, while the problem for the guests is Paige’s injury.

The fourth quarter is in the sign of Simonovic, who is great on both sides of the field, and Mega keeps a double-digit lead. Cerovina hits a three-pointer off the board, soon after Dangubic was injured for the guests, and Simonovic brings plus 15 for Mega, 74:59 with five minutes until the end. Veličkovic tied four points for the guests, but Milosavljevic with a three and Simonovic with points after an offensive rebound  definitely resolved the question of the winner in this game.
