JOVANOVIC: “CONGRATULATIONS TO MY GUYS ON WIN, WE HAD TO GO THROUGH THIS ALSO”

Although it was weakened by the non-playing of the currently most useful player of the ABA league, Filip Petrusev, Mega Soccerbet managed to win against Krka in an exciting finish with 71:70 (17:14, 19:17, 15:23, 20:16) within the match of the 7th round of the regional competition, which was played without the presence of the audience in the Hall of sports Ranko Zeravica.

At the press conference after the game, Mega’s coach Vladimir Jovanovic pointed out that his team must go through games like this and get used to adapt to things on the go:

– Congratulations to my guys on the victory. However, apart from the victory, I can be satisfied with little. Some circumstances disturbed us a little, Filip Petrusev got the virus and in that situation the team had to rearrange. He is not just any player, but one of the two who have carried the team in the previous six rounds. We thought we could play normally and with his absence, but we did not react in the right way. I rearranged the roles, divided the minutes, but the whole team entered the game with a lack of energy, and that is the biggest complaint. We had only four rebounds in the third quarter, although we are a team with 40 rebounds per game, we finished the match with only 12 assists, and so far we have had 22 on average and were right behind Zvezda in that statistical category. The lack of energy drew in insecurity so we missed a lot of open shots. But, we had to go through this as well, and we get used to it on the go. This game is a school, to learn the lessons that we have to do our best every time. Young players have a habit of ending games like this before they start. Congratulations to my friend Dalibor who is doing a good job in a difficult situation. I wish him and the Krka good luck in the continuation of the league,

said coach of Mega.
