Mega Bemax General Manager Goran Cakic said the matches in the Bahamas are a testament to the good work and built up of the club’s excellent reputation:

– These trips, as well as the games against Texas Tech that await us, are a testament to the good and systematic work at the club, as well as the excellent reputation we have built as the best environment for young players on their way to the NBA. Last summer, by invitation, we played a game here against Kentucky, which has the most players selected in the NBA draft, and then in Spain we played with Michigan. Slowly but surely, we are establishing a tradition of preseason games in with the most eminent NCAA teams. It started 4 years ago with a duel in Greece with Texas A&M and given that from Mega team has been selected from as many as 10 players from the 2014 NBA Draft, we believe the trend will continue,

Cakic stated and continued,

– Upon arrival in the Bahamas, it is important that we acclimatize and get into the training rhythm as soon as possible. We have started our preparations before all ABA teams, on July 22nd and the games against Texas Tech will be a good opportunity to see how much we can currently do. We miss Ognjen Carapic, who is with the Montenegrin national team in preparation for the World Cup, but all the guys who are there will do their best to make up for his absence.

Before traveling to the Bahamas, Mega played two duels against China’s Sichuan Blue Whales in which they recorded convincing victories, 118:65 in the first match last Wednesday at Mega Factory Hall, as well as 99:71 in a match played on Saturday at Vizura Hall in Zemun.
