MEGA BEAT NOVI PAZAR IN THE EXCITING FINISH

Mega Bemax players recorded their first Super League victory in the second round of the competition after a thrilling finish they beat Novi Pazar with 97:95 (24:17, 29:21, 13:29, 31:28). The players of Dejan Milojevic to victory in the “Mega Factory” came in interesting, where they led with 18 points in the second quarter, but were trailing 4 points at the start of the last part, and then they won the free throws finish.

In the ranks of Mega Bemax the most efficient were Nikola Miskovic with 19 points and Dalibor Ilic with 16. The former player of Mega Nemanja Krstic with 26 points showed off in Novi Pazar.

After two rounds, Mega Bemax has one victory and one defeat while Novi Pazar is without a win. In the next round on May 5, at 6 pm, Mega will play in Užice against.

Dejan Milojevic started the match with Asceric, Mokoka, Marjanovic, Fundić and Bitadze. A few points at the start of the match where in 5 minutes the game saw 7 points on both sides. Mokoka and Miskovic are good in offence and the advantage is 5 points, 15:10. The guests are responding with threes, so they arrive briefly in a lead, 16:17. Nevertheless, the finish belongs to Mega, who by a series of 8:0 and with dunk of Ilic puts the point on the first quarter, 24:17.

The good game of Mega continued in the second quarter where Ilic and Carapic raise fast Mega to plus 16, 35:19 in the 13th minute. The guests are able to tie a few points, but Mega with threes of of Miskovic, Asceric and Mokoka keeps the lead. In the finish Miskovic and Ilic hit for 53:38 after 20 minutes of the game.

A half-time pause was more appealing to a visiting team that managed to lower the difference to only 6 points, with a few triples, 60:54 after 5 minutes of the game in the third quarter. Soon after, Bitadze gets a fifth personal foul and Mokoka got fourth. Many missed free throws and open shots of Mega, Novi Pazar manages to punish, so that at the end of the third quarter they are lead, 66:67 before the fourth quarter.

Guests hit three pointer at the start of the last quarter, but immediately returned Asceric. Mega played better in the defense and Miskovic and Fundic were precise in the offence for plus 9, 82:73. Guests from the free-throw line arrived at only a point behind after which Carapic hit an important three for 85:81 at 3 and a half minutes to the end. Guests did not gave, they approach to the point again, but Carapic hits a difficult floater for 91:88 minutes and 15 to the end of the match. In penalty finals, Mega’s players were precise from the free-throw line and guests in the last seconds tried to get an overtime after a missed free throw, but they were not precise, so Mega celebrated with 97:95.
