GREAT FINALS OF RODA JUNIOR LEAGUE OF SERBIA, ZVEZDA IN THE LAST SECOND TO THE TITILE OVER MEGA

Mega Bemax juniors failed to become champions of Serbia for the first time in club history after losing to Crvena Zvezda mts in the finals after overtime by the buzzer beater of Paunovic for 82:84 (23:26, 20:21, 22:16, 8:10, 9:11).

The best in the ranks of Mega Bemax were Nikola Miskovic with 24 points and Andrija Marjanovic with 22 while Zoran Paunovic scored 31 points in the Crvena zvezda.

Marko Pecarski from the Partizan NIS, who collected a total of 105 index points, averaged 25.3 points and 10 rebounds per match, was selected for the MVP of final tournament.

The best scorer is Nikola Kovacevic from KK Beko who scored a total of 79 points or 26.3 on average in the Final tournament.

Special recognition of Basketball Association of Serbia for the excellent organization of the Final Tournament to General manager of Mega Bemax Goran Cakic was given by the Vice President of KSS Dusan Projovic.

Medal was handed over to the winning team by the marketing director of the company Roda Matija Protic and vice president of KSS, Igor Rakocevic, and the trophy was handed over to the winning team by Igor Rakocevic.

After the equalized game at the start of the match, Crvena Zvezda uses mistakes in the defense of Mege and from the open positions gets to the advantage and the result is after the first quarter 23:26. In the second quarter, Zvezda with threes came to the top 11 points advantage, 25:36, but Mega after that played a lot more engaged in defense, while in the points attack under the basket lowered the advantage of Zvezda so Langovic with tip-in in the last second sets the score 43:47 at halftime.

In the third quarter, the advantage was in favor of Zvezda from 3 to 9 points, but Kuzmanovic with two triples held  Mega, and then in the finish of the third period with good defense and the result 65:63 for Mega before the last 10 minutes.

Excellent defense of the Mega in the last quarter, but on the other hand there were several missed open shots for 3 points and was the result in the last 4 minutes is 70:68. In the last minute at the result 73:73, after the excellent defense, Cerovina first missed a 3-point shot and then a Drobnjak from fade-a-way missed so the game went into overtime.

In the overtime Mega gets the first four points, but then Zvezda responds with 2 triples for 77:79 with 2 minutes to the end. In an extremely exciting finish, Lakic scored three for plus 3 Zvezda, Andrija Marjanovic, after missing shot of Miskovic for 3, gets to the ball and scores under a foul, and then further ties from free-throw line. In the last attack, Zoran Paunovic hits tough buzzer beater for the final 82:84.

Basketball players of Partizan NIS have won 3rd place at the Roda Junior League of Serbia which was held at the hall Mega Factory as they beat Beko with 93:99 (21:12, 19:26, 28:26, 25:35).

The match was marked by two basketball players, Partizan’s Marko Pecarski with 26 points and 10 rebounds and the best in KK Beko was Nikola Kovacevic with 42 points.

Basketball players Beka was great in the first quarter, where at one point they had 12 points advantage, so the score after 10 minutes was 21:12. In the second quarter, Partizan played much better, and by half the difference was reduced to only 2 points, 40:38 for Beko.

After a break at the half-time, Partizan with a brilliant 2:13 series went into lead 42:51, but the fantastic Nikola Kovacevic with 21 points in this period returned the advantage to his team for 68:64 for Beko before the last 10 minutes of the game.

In the final quarter, a tied match was played to the finish of the match, but Marko Pecarski was impressive with 17 points in the last quarter, so Partizan finally won 93:99.
