MEGA WITHOUT WIN ON EUROPEAN DEBUT

Players of Mega Leks failed to reach victory at the European debut since in the first round Basketball Champions League Sidigas Avellino was better with 70:84 (19:22, 15:16, 14:19, 22:27). Mega largely match well parried Italians but the guests shot for 3 points (15-35) resolved the match and guest celebrated at the end.

The most efficient in the ranks of Mega were Kaba with 18 points and Novak with 15 while at guests were best Ragland with 25 and Randolph with 21 points.

At the beginning of the game in very mood was Kaba but the guests held an advantage of one, two baskets while the result after the first quarter was 19:22. Guests at the beginning of the second quarter came to plus 13, 23:36 but was then followed by a great defense Mege where Avellino was scoreless for a full 5 minutes. Zagorac connects two beautiful shots where with excellent dribbling sent guards in wrong way. Kaba continues with good roll and guests only 3 seconds to the end of the half reached to the points for 34:38.

In the third quarter at the score 40:41 Mega fails to take the lead but the hosts series 0:10 take safer lead. Mega has managed to establish control so in the last 10 minutes went with 48:57 left. In the last quarter Mega managed to reduce to 6-point minus on 7 minutes to go but the visitors tied several threes and finally reached the final 70:84.

Mega Leks on Saturday will play away Zadar within ABA League until next Tuesday in the second round of the Basketball Champions League at 20:00 welcomes Cibona.
