HISTORIC WIN FOR MEGA LEKS!

Mega Leks recorded historic win in the second round of ABA league in Sremska Mitrovica. This was the first win for Mega in the regional competition this season and first win in the history against Partizan. Although greatly weakened by the absence of captain and MVP of the first round of ABA league Rade Zagorac, as well as point guard Nikola Ivanovic and a long absent the French international Kaba, player of Dejan Milojevic beat Partizan with a score of 76:59.

Mega absolutely deservedly reached the triumph because they led throughout the match, while Partizan has only twice managed to equalize the score. The winner were definitely resolved in mid last quarter when the Mega made series of 11:0 and gained a decisive advantage. In the absence of captain Zagorac, Timothe Luwawu-Cabarrot took role of leader, who masterfully done it’s job even scoring 27 points with 6 triples in 9 attempts.

We were able to Mega’s historic triumph over Partizan announced already at the start of the game, with four triples realized from the same number of attempts reached double-digit advantage (16: 2). Players of Dejan Milojevic were fighting greatly, who both made mistakes at times, but these errors were primarily the result of a great desire to win.

Mega is maintained  constant advantage primarily due to much better rebounding. The home players have had as many as 18 rebounds more, they were very devoted to defending and in attack gleamed Timothe Luwawu.

Partizan dangerously threatened in the fourth quarter when he got the tying field goal (53:53), however, that was followed by a series of Mega 11:0 by three of Timothe LuwawuCabarrot and thus practically secured the win for his team.
