MEGA SUPERBET BROKE SPLIT’S RESISTANCE IN THE THIRD QUARTER AND RECORDED A CONVINCING WIN

Mega Superbet recorded another ABA League victory this season, defeating Split in Round 9 of the Play-out phase at the TC Dejan Milojević with a score of 95–72 (22:17, 24:27, 26:13, 23:15). The team led by Vule Avdalović gained a crucial advantage in the third quarter, during which they scored twice as many points as their opponent. Mega managed to maintain the lead in the final quarter and even extend it in the closing minutes, securing their 11th win (11–14) and handing Split their 19th loss (6–19).

The top performers for Mega Superbet were Nikola Đurišić with 17 points, 6 rebounds, and 5 assists (performance index 24), Bogoljub Marković with 16 points, Asim Đulović with 15, and Abdramane Sibi with 13 points (index 21), as well as Savo Drezgić, who added 11 points and 7 rebounds.

On the other side, Jake Stephens scored 12, Dimejio Wiggins 11, and Dario Drežnjak 10 points.

Mega controlled the score in the opening minutes, and midway through the first quarter, after consecutive three-pointers by Đulović and Kroflič, they pulled away and quickly built their first double-digit lead (17:7). The visitors managed to cut the deficit in half but could not get any closer, so Avdalović’s team entered the first break leading 22:17. However, Split turned the game around within a few minutes, leading to a fierce battle. The teams traded leads, but Mega went into halftime ahead, leading 46:44 after 20 minutes.

The back-and-forth continued into the third quarter, but after a few minutes, Mega began to reassert control. Drezgić found his rhythm and pushed Avdalović’s team to a 70:56 lead entering the final 11 minutes. Mega closed the quarter well and entered the decisive period with a 72:57 advantage. Split threatened early in the final quarter, but Mega quickly responded, fending off the surge and maintaining a double-digit lead. They then pulled away again, going up 84:66 with three minutes remaining, and it soon became clear at the TC Dejan Milojević—Mega Superbet had secured a convincing victory.
