WIN FOR MEGA IN LAKTASI, GREAT DEBUT OF GLOGOVAC

Players of Mega Leks recorded a third win in the ABA league as they within the 9th round of the regional competition beat Igokea in Laktasi with 64:67 (11:20, 12:11, 22:22, 19:14). In another exciting finish, with great team defense and Jaramaz with two triples in the last two minutes, Mega managed to preserve and record a win.

Best in the ranks of Mega Leks were Zagorac with 18 points and 10 rebounds and Novak with 13 points while Igokea led Radivojevic with 18 points. Mega in this match because of injury was deprived of help Tejic, Spasojevic and Carapic while Stefan Glogovac had a debut in a competitive match since returning from injuries sustained in the preparation period. Glogovac played great since for 10 minutes on the court had eight points and great defense in the crucial moments of the match.

After 9 rounds Mega Leks has a record of 3 wins and 6 losses while Igokea recorded 4 wins and 5 losses. The next match Mega Leks have on Wednesday from 20:00 when in the 5th rounds of the Basketball Champions League will play away against French Strasbourg.

Dejan Milojevic started the match with the following five: Novak, Mushidi, Zagorac, Cancar and Kaba. Excellent defense of Mega at the beginning of the match forced Igokea on shots from difficult positions and the turnovers and also Mushidi got a great ramp. Mega took the lead 6:0 and the first points of the Igokea was scored after more than 4 minutes of game. Novak and Zagorac with threes took Mega at plus 12, 6:18 and after that the game entered Stefan Glogovac, for the first time after injuries sustained during the preparatory period of Mega. The first quarter final score was 11:20.

In the second quarter continued to function Mega’s defense but stopped the attack and Igokea reduced to 15:20. However, Mega was able to repel an attack with threes of Novak and Zagorac and the first half ended with 23:31.

Weak start of second-half of Mega used Igokea for a series of points to take the lead 37:35. Then along comes Glogovac with a tip-in, two plus one and three points, for a return of lead of Mega, 45:53 before the final quarter.

The last 10 minutes better start Igokea who reduces to 52:55. Jaramaz then hit three points but Robinson returns so in the last 5 minutes entered the plus 1, 57:58. However, in the crucial moments, Jaramaz hit two triples with the excellent team defense was enough for win of Mega because after three pointer of Radivojevic three seconds left on the players of Mega managed to keep the ball.
