BOGOLJUB MARKOVIĆ ENDS HIS MEGA ERA

After five years with the club, Bogoljub Marković brings his era at Mega to an end.

Marković joined Mega in 2021 and is coming off a remarkable season in which he won both the ABA League MVP award and the Best Young Player award. He also captured the league’s prestigious Rising Star award for the second consecutive year, becoming the first player ever to achieve that feat. During the 2025/26 season, he averaged 18.3 points, 9.1 rebounds, and 2.5 assists, while posting a performance index rating of 23.8.

He recorded a performance index rating above 40 in three games during the season – against Borac Čačak (26 points, 16 rebounds, PIR 42), Krka (30 points, 10 rebounds, PIR 41), and Crvena zvezda (29 points, 10 rebounds, 6 assists, PIR 41). He also registered ten double-doubles throughout the campaign. He made his debut for Mega’s senior team in January 2023 in a game against KK Cibona, and last year he was selected by the Milwaukee Bucks with the 47th overall pick in the second round of the NBA Draft.

While playing for the club’s youth teams, he won the U19 ABA League championship three times (2022, 2023, and 2024), the Serbian Junior League title twice (2023 and 2024), the Serbian Cadet League title in 2022, and the EuroLeague Junior title in 2022. At the 2024 ABA League Junior Tournament, he was named MVP of the Final Tournament.

In April 2024, he participated in the Nike Hoop Summit in Portland, an event that annually gathers some of the top basketball prospects in the world. Shortly afterward, he also took part in the prestigious Treviso Basketball Camp. In 2023, he attended the Basketball Without Borders camp in Salt Lake City.

In November 2024, he made his debut for the senior Serbian national team in a game against Denmark. He was also a member of Serbia’s U18 national team that won the gold medal at the 2023 European Championship in Niš, where he was selected to the tournament’s All-Star Five.

Bogi, thank you for everything, and good luck!
