AVDALOVIĆ: “A GREAT EXPERIENCE FOR US, WE NEED TO INCREASE TRAINING INTENSITY”

Mega Superbet opened their ABA League season with a defeat on a tough road trip in Ljubljana against Cedevita Olimpija, 81:117 (17:29, 19:33, 22:29, 23:26). Vuleta Avdalović’s team offered solid resistance for much of the first quarter, but the hosts gradually built a large lead and maintained it until the final buzzer.

Mega Superbet coach Vule Avdalović shared his thoughts at the post-game press conference:

“I’d like to congratulate Cedevita Olimpija and coach Mitrović on a fully deserved victory. They were better from start to finish, played a phenomenal game, and we simply couldn’t compete. We failed to defend any of their players. It’s a great experience for us, as we are a young team and most players are taking on leading roles for the first time. We’ll be better as the season progresses. We need to increase training intensity to get used to the contact we faced today, which we absolutely weren’t ready for,” Avdalović said.

In the next round, Mega Superbet will play their first home game of the season at the Ranko Žeravica Sports Hall, hosting Bosna. The game is scheduled for Sunday, October 12, at 12:00.
