MEGA MIS JUNIORS LOSE TO REAL IN BERLIN AFTER A HARD-FOUGHT BATTLE

The Mega MIS juniors failed to overcome the defending champions, Real Madrid, in the second match of the group stage of the final ANGT tournament of the Junior EuroLeague in Berlin. After a hard-fought battle, the reigning champions triumphed 60:55 (13:14, 14:12, 11:14, 22:15). Dragoljub Avramović’s team had a minimal lead after the first 10 minutes, Real turned it around by halftime, but only had a one-point advantage. It was also tough in the third quarter, with Mega allowing their rivals only 11 points and entering the final period with a two-point lead. However, Real regained the lead in the decisive quarter, and despite Mega’s attempts to come back, the Madrid team maintained their advantage and secured the win.

In the Mega MIS team, Jack Kayil stood out with 14 points and six assists, while Urban Kroflič scored 14 points. Aleksandar Vojinović was in double figures with 13 points, while Abdramane Siby was limited to just three points but grabbed 10 rebounds, along with two blocks and two steals.

Since they also defeated Olimpia Milano peers in the first round, Real Madrid secured the top position in the group and a spot in the final, while Mega will compete for second place against the Italians on Saturday, May 25, at 09:00.
