U17 MEGA MIS DEFEATED IN THE FINAL OF THE TRIGLAV CADET LEAGUE OF SERBIA

The U17 Mega MIS team failed to win their third consecutive title in the Triglav Cadet League of Serbia, as they lost in the final of the final F8 tournament at the Ranko Žeravica Sports Hall, to the tournament hosts, Partizan, 92-95 (21-27, 30-25, 20-21, 21-22). There was a fierce battle throughout the match. The players coach Petar Radonjić chose were six points behind after the opening 10 minutes, but they reduced the deficit to just one point by halftime. Neither team managed to pull away significantly in the second half, and the uncertainty peaked in the decisive quarter, with Partizan ultimately securing the victory in the penalty shootout.

Ognjen Srzentić was Mega MIS’s top scorer with 28 points, and he also collected six rebounds for a PIR of 20. Nikola Karalić added 22 points, but he was the most efficient player on Radonjić’s team due to higher shooting percentages with a PIR of 26. Vuk Danilović contributed 18 points, while Aleksa Stiković also scored in double digits with 10.

Srzentić and Karalić received recognition for their good performances in the league phase of the season, as they were included in the ideal five of the Triglav Cadet League of Serbia, along with Petar Radović from Borac, Ognjen Bojbaš from Joker, and Đorđe Šekularac from Partizan.

The U17 Mega MIS team stopped at the last step before their third consecutive and fifth overall title as Serbian champions. This is the third time they have finished as runners-up, following 2013 and 2017.
