BARAĆ: “GOOD GAME, THIS IS THE WAY WE WANT TO PLAY”

Mega MIS players secured a victory against Cibona in the 9th round of the ABA League, winning 83:69 (18:15, 11:20, 20:23, 20:25) on their away game in Zagreb. Under the guidance of coach Marko Barać, the team established control towards the end of the second quarter and, with some minor fluctuations, built their lead throughout the rest of the match. In the final moments of the third quarter, they gained a double-digit advantage, further increasing it at the beginning of the decisive period, securing their fifth win of the season after nine rounds, with a record of 5-4. Cibona suffered their first loss after three consecutive victories, leaving them with a 3-6 record.

Coach Marko Barać shared his impressions in a post-match press conference:

We showed great respect for Cibona and everything they do in the preparation for the game. In my opinion, they play good basketball that hasn’t been rewarded with results until the last few rounds. They entered this game with three consecutive victories, full of confidence. In the previous game against Studentski Centar, they scored 60 points from three-pointers, and that’s something we knew and prepared for. We handled that well and neutralized the home team. What wasn’t good in the first half was the number of offensive rebounds, but we improved in that aspect in the second half. This is the way we want to play, and today was a good game for us. I also congratulate the home team on a good game,” Barać stated.

In the next round, Mega Basket will be visiting the Studentski Centar team, with the match in Podgorica scheduled for Monday, December 4, at 6:00 PM.
