MEGA MIS WELCOME BUDUĆNOST IN SREMSKA MITROVICA, BARAĆ: “WE HAVE TO PLAY WITH A GREAT ENERGY AND CONCENTRATION”

In the second match of the quarterfinal series of the ABA league, the Mega MIS basketball players welcome the Budućnost VOLI team in Sremska Mitrovica. The meeting in the PSC Pinki hall is on the program on Sunday from 18:00, and the entrance is free. The gates of the hall open from 17:00, and all protocols of the Republic of Serbia on the occasion of the Day of Mourning will be respected.

The Mega MIS team lost 94:77 in the first match of the quarterfinals in Podgorica, so they will do their best to return the series to the capital of Montenegro for the third match, coach Marko Barać points out, although it will not be easy at all to play in the tragic circumstances that befell Serbia in the previous days.

In light of the tragedy that befell our country, it is extremely difficult to play. We analyzed the mistakes from the previous game where we could make sure of the qualities of Buducnost. I expect us to be better, and to bring the series back to Podgorica, we’ll have to play with great energy and concentration,

Barać said.

Recently, at the end of the league part of the season, Mega MIS faced off against Budućnost in Sremska Mitrovica, and Luka Cerovina believes that the home field could play a role in the rematch.

We are waiting for the second match of the quarterfinals of the ABA League playoffs against the team of Budućnost. Now we play on our field in Sremska Mitrovica, where even a month ago, we had great support from the stands. The tragic events that happened in the previous days certainly affected all of us, but we will do our best and try to get to another game in Morača,

Cerovina pointed out.

Mega played against Budućnost 23 times in the ABA league and won on six occasions. Exactly seven years ago, during the previous participation in the playoffs of the regional championship, they hosted the Podgorica team in Sremska Mitrovica and secured a place in the finals of the ABA league with a 76:75 victory.
