MEGA MIS IN THE GROUP WITH BORC AND TWO KLS TEAMS AT THE START OF THE SUPERLEAGUE OF SERBIA

In the rest of the season, Mega MIS basketball players will play on two fronts: the ABA League playoffs and the Serbia Superleague. The fight for the domestic throne starts on April 26, and Marko Barać’s chosen ones will compete in the first phase with FMP Soccer Bet and Borac Mozzart from the regional championship, as well as the five best teams from the Basketball League of Serbia (KLS): Zlatibor, Vojvodina, Spartak, Metalac and OKK Belgrade. Mega MIS was placed in a group with Borac Mozzart, the third and fourth-placed from KLS, while the second group includes FMP, OKK Beograd as the fifth-placed from KLS, as well as the first and second placed from the domestic championship. Mega MIS will find their KLS opponents after the remaining games are played on Wednesday evening.

Only the winners of the groups will secure a place in the semi-finals, where they will meet Crvena Zvezda Meridianbet and Partizan Mozzart Bet. The semi-final series of the Superliga starts four days after the end of the final series of the ABA League, on June 8 or 9 at the latest, and will be played for two wins. The finals are scheduled for June 16, also for two triumphs.

Coach Marko Barać gave his impressions after the draw:

– The beginning of the season was somewhat slower, as expected, with many new players and a coach. As a club, we showed ideas and patience, and everything returned through the competitive result, which is a consequence of the players’ progress, and we are delighted with that. We will have two games a week, which is a challenge that makes me very happy. We will play against good rivals and see how we look in that situation. I watched many matches in KLS, mostly OKK Belgrade, with great enthusiasm. All league participants showed outstanding professionalism, and we also want to help maintain that professionalism,

Barac said.

As a reminder, Mega will play against Budućnosti VOLI in the first round of the ABA league playoffs, and the dates of the quarter-final matches will be announced later.
