U18 MEGA MIS DEFEATED PANATHINAIKOS AND WON THE RISING STARS TOURNAMENT IN PATRAS

The U18 basketball players of the Mega MIS team defeated their peers from Panathinaikos in the finals of the Rising Stars tournament in Patras and thus won the title – 68:77 (16:21, 14:17, 16:22, 22:17). Dragoljub Avramović’s team increased their advantage minute by minute. After 10 minutes of the game, they led with five points; after 20, they had plus eight, and they met the last break with 14 points. They halved the Athenian deficit after a few minutes of play in the decisive part. Still, Mega reacted promptly, preserved the advantage, and ultimately recorded a great victory.

Bogoljub Marković excelled in the final fight. The most helpful player of the Junior League of Serbia finished the match with a double-double of 23 points and 12 rebounds and collected 25 index points. He was accompanied by Asim Đulović with 14 and Urban Kroflič with 11 points, while Filip Jović collected eight points and ten rebounds.

Marković was included in the ideal five of the Rising Stars tournament due to his excellent performances during all three matches.

Remember that U18 Mega MIS first defeated PAOK 96:62, then defeated Peristeri in the semifinals 104:65, and finished with a triumph over Panathinaikos for the title. Third place at the tournament in Patra went to the Rising Stars team.
