The semifinal series with Zvezda starts on Friday!

Mega Mozzart will start the semifinal series of the Super League playoffs on Friday at 8 pm with a game against Crvena zvezda mts, which will be played in the Aleksandar Nikolic Hall. Coach Vladimir Jovanovic’s team previously finished the first part of the playoffs undefeated, where they beat Sloboda, Vojvodina and Borac with 2-0 in the series.

The semifinal series is played in the best of three, the second game is on the program on Sunday, June 12, at 12 o’clock in the Mega Factory hall, and the eventual third game will be played on Tuesday, June 14, at the Crvena zvezda’s court.

Before the first duel against Crvena zvezda, Mega’s coach Vladimir Jovanovic pointed out that his team must be very good in their work tasks for all 40 minutes:

– After a long break from the end of the preliminary playoffs, in which we won first place in the competition of eight teams, we thus secured participation in the semifinal series of the Super League playoffs. The preliminary playoffs in which we played six games were very useful for us, considering all the changes we had in the team, and in which we reached a certain level of coordination. We are entering the semifinal series with Crvena zvezda, which finished the very demanding final series of the ABA League with Partizan a few days ago. Crvena zvezda is composed of very high-quality home players and that is their main strength. It is certain that Kalinic, who is the best player on the team, must be mentioned, then Davidovac, Dobric, who play very well, Luka Mitrovic, who plays his best basketball after returning from abroad to Zvezda, and Markovic, who brought Zvezda much-needed experience. The foreigners who are in the team are of high quality and contribute to the team’s results with their games. First of all, I would like to single out Ivanovic and Hollins. Zvezda has been cultivating a defensive style for many years, in most cases they allow a small number of points scored to their opponents, they play physically on both sides of the field with a lot of contact. Therefore, if we want to play with Zvezda, we have to be very good for 40 minutes in work tasks, first of all I mean running in both directions, and protecting rebounds, as well as to respond to their contact at any time,

Guard of Mega Samson Ruzhentsev stated that his team will face a difficult series against Crvena zvezda:

– Next challenge for us is Crvena zvezda in the semi finals, current ABA League champions. We know it’s going to be a tough series for us because they are a very good and experienced team, but we’ll try to fight and do our best, and for what it will be enough, we’ll see,
