U19 MEGA FOR THE THIRD TIME U19 ABA CHAMPION, GRBOVIC MVP

Juniors of Mega Mozzarta champions of U19 ABA league for the third time!

U19 Mega Mozzart won the U19 ABA League title for the third time in history, beating SC Derby wuth 88:74 (16:18, 22:19, 31:24, 19:23) in the finals. Coach Dragoljub Avramovic’s team again played an excellent game in the Arena Stozice in Ljubljana, where they resolved the match with a great play in the third quarter and finally reached the well-deserved trophy.

The most efficient in the ranks of Mega were Andrija Grbovic with 30 points and Nikola Djurisic with 22.

Mega’s player Andrija Grbovic was named the MVP of the Final Four of the U19 ABA League, and Nikola Jovic was also chosen in the All Tournament Team.

The juniors of Mega won the third title in the U19 ABA league with a triumph in Ljubljana after the trophies won in 2018 and 2021, and this season they won the trophy after recording all seven victories with an average difference of over 26 points.

Good defense of junior Mega at the start, who leads 7:2 after 4 minutes of play, with several lost balls on both sides. Mega kept the advantage until 14:9, when a run of guests 0:9 followed with several offensive rebounds, and the result at the end of the first quarter was 16:18. With Djurisic’s triple, Mega regained the advantage for a short time, but SC Derby soon took the lead from the free throw line with a difference of 5 points. Mega answers through Kobzysty and Musicki for the advantage of 35:33, and at half time they left with 38:37.

Fantastic game of juniors Mega in the third quarter, who reached plus 24 on the wings of Grbovic and Jovic and definitely resolved the game with baskets from all positions. By the end of the game, SC Derby did not manage to jeopardize Mega’s victory for the final 88:74.
