GREAT SECOND HALF OF U19 MEGA FOR THE FINALS OF ABA U19 FINAL FOUR

Juniors of Mega convincing against Igokea, on Friday in the finals for the third U19 ABA title!

U19 Mega Mozzart defeated Igokea with 97:87 (19:28, 25:23, 21:14, 32:22) within the first semifinal of the U19 ABA F4, which is being held in Ljubljana. Coach Dragoljub Avramovic’s team was 52:62 behind in the middle of the third quarter in the Stozice Arena, but the Mega’s juniors played much better after that and in the end reached a convincing victory.

The best in the ranks of junior Mega were Nikola Jovic with 29 points, Andrija Grbovic with 19 and Nikola Djurisic with 17 points. In the Igokea, Amsal Delalic stood out with 25 points and Vuk Boskovic with 21.

Juniors of Mega will fight for the third regional title on Friday at 6:30 pm against the better from the duel SC Derby – Cedevita Olimpija. Mega previously won titles in 2018 and 2021.

Before the start of the match, the Sports director of the regional competition, Milija Vojinovic, awarded the Mega’s player Nikola Jovic the trophy for the Top Prospect of the ABA League.


Jovic was great in the first quarter with 11 points, but Igokea constantly held the advantage, which went up to 9 points. In the second quarter, Mega was slightly better in defense, however, Igokea managed to keep the lead 44:51 at halftime.

Igokea also had a 10-point advantage in the middle of the third period (52:62), but Jovic and Djurisic were in the mood, especially Djurisic who tied the results with two baskets with plus one, so the result before the last quarter was 65:65, where the Igokea team scored only 3 points for 6 and a half minutes of play. At the beginning of the last quarter, Bogavac brought plus 6 with a three-pointer and a basket under the foul, after which Mega established complete control and calmly brought the match to an end with 15 points from Bogavac in the last section.
