MEGA ON MONDAY PLAYS ON ROAD AGAINST ZADAR

Mega Mozzart will end its short tour of Croatia on Monday against Zadar.

On Monday, April 4, at 6 pm, Mega Mozzart will play on road against Zadar within the 25th round of ABA League. Coach Vladimir Jovanovic’s team on Thursday lost an extremely exciting match against Split, so tomorrow they will have the opportunity to end a series of defeats and come to a victory that could mean a lot in the fight for the better placement in the regional competition.

Before the game against Zadar, coach of Mega pointed out that it is extremely important for his team to control the jump, especially in front of their basket:

– Zadar is a well-balanced team between the backcourt and frontcourt line. External danger threatens, above all, point guard Mavra, who is also their best creator, and Carter, who is the best scorer. At the center is Thompson, who is a very talented player and who is very important to them in defensive tasks, but who is also a great player in offence, both from the “low post” and from the shot for three points. At certain moments, they can play with the “small ball” lineup, where they play with the guard in position four, and their tall players in position five are able to play outside the line for three points. The important point is to play a good defense on their backcourt players and on that cooperation two on two from which they open a shot for three points with tall players. We need to stop Thompson at the “low post” and try to control the jump, especially under our basket, which is extremely important for us to be able to impose our rhythm of the game,

said Jovanovic.

Mega Mozzart currently has 8 wins and 15 losses in the ABA league, while Zadar has a score of 7-15. Mega and Zadar have met 17 times so far in the regional competition with a score of 10-7 in favor of Mega. In the last match between these two teams in the 12th round of this season, Zadar celebrated in Belgrade with buzzer beater for 70:72.

Mega’s Power Forward Matej Rudan pointed out that it will be important against Zadar to respond with firmness in defense and fast transition in attack:

– We are playing against a quality and experienced team and it will certainly be a difficult match. We have entered a series of bad results from which we must get out as soon as possible. A physically demanding task awaits us after the match with Split on Thursday. We have to respond to them with the utmost firmness, and in attack I think the key is in our fast transition, if we run well I believe we will have a chance for a positive result,

said Rudan.

The match Zadar – Mega Mozzart will be played on Monday, April 4, at 6 pm in the Krešimir Cosic Hall in Zadar, with a live broadcast on TV Arena Sport.
