MEGA IN LJUBLJANA AGAINST CEDEVITA OLIMPIJA

Mega Mozzart in Ljubljana on tough away game against Cedevita Olimpija.

On Sunday, March 13, at 5 pm, Mega Mozzart will play against Cedevita Olimpija in Ljubljana as part of the match of the 22nd ABA League. The players of coach Vladimir Jovanovic are expecting a difficult match in the Stozice hall, where they will try to return to the winning streak after several defeats in the regional competition.

Before the match against Cedevita Olimpija, Mega’s coach Vladimir Jovanovic pointed out that his team must be patient and find the right shots:

– This is an extremely high-quality opponent who is one of the strongest attacking teams in the ABA League. They partially changed the roster, in the previous period they brought several experienced and quality players, international and domestic players who have experience of playing in the strongest leagues. Lately, they have been playing very well in both competitions, the ABA League and the Eurocup. They play very fast and considering the number of quality players they have in the backcourt, they will use every opportunity that opens up in their shot for three points, regardless of whether this is the beginning of the attack. For that reason, the two most important things we should stop are their running and the shot for three points. On the other hand, we have to play our game, try to find our rhythm that involves one dose of running, but above all we have to be patient in moments when it doesn’t work, and find the right shots to hope for a good game,

Mega’s coach said.

Mega Mozzart currently has 8 wins and 12 losses in the ABA league, while Cedevita Olimpija has a score of 12-7. Mega and Cedevita Olimpija have met 5 times so far in the regional competition with a score of 4-1 in favor of the home team. In the last match between these two teams in the 9th round of this season, Mega celebrated at home with 104:75.

Point Guard of Mega Dayshon Smith pointed out that his team in Ljubljana had to play as a team and stronger in order to get into a situation to fight for a positive outcome:

– First of all, we have to enter this game with more confidence than in some previous ones. Cedevita Olimpija is an extremely quality team in a good series of results, and it is up to us to play as a team and stronger, so that we can fight for a positive outcome that would mean a lot to us,

said Smith.
