JOVANOVIC: “FIRMNESS IN OFFENCE AND DEFENCE VERY IMPORTANT IN A MATCH AGAINST FMP”

On Saturday, January 29, at 9 pm, Mega Mozzart will play on road in Zeleznik against FMP within the 18th round of the ABA League. Vladimir Jovanovic’s team currently has one victory less than the position that leads to the playoffs, so the match in Zeleznik will be of great importance in the fight for the playoffs.

– FMP played very well and constantly in the first part of the ABA league. This is an experienced team composed of internationals, first of all I mean Jones, Nevels and Radonjic, it is the axis that holds the outer line, while the inner one is held by Nerandzic, Tasic and Izundu. The team is very well led by coach Nesa Stefanovic. The best creator in the team is Jones, to whom most of the attacks go through, the main shooters are Nevels and Radonjić, while from the internal positions they mostly go through Tasic and Nerandzic, and on the other hand, they are very strong in defense. In this match, running in the counterattack and back and the defense of the defensive jump will be of special importance. Firmness in attack and strength in defense will be very important for the game to play well and the team that plays stronger on Saturday will be closer to victory in the end,

Mega Mozzart currently has 7 wins and 8 defeats in the ABA league while FMP has a score of 10-4. Mega and FMP have met 11 times so far in the regional competition with a score of 6-5 for FMP, and the last match was in the 5th round of the ABA league this season when FMP celebrated with 82:89 in Hall of sports Ranko Zeravica.

Point Guard of Mega Aleksa Uskokovic pointed out that the energy and approach of his team must be at the highest level:

– A difficult match awaits us with a team that plays great all season, especially at home. We want to improve the impression from the last round when we were not at our level. Energy and approach must be at the highest level and we will need to play well on both sides of the court in order to get a chance to reach a positive outcome,
