JOVANOVIC: “OFFENSIVE JUMP HAS BROUGHT US A LOT OF GOOD IN SECOND HALF”

Mega Mozzart defeated Split with 78:65 (20:12, 15:16, 22:22, 21:15) in the 11th round of the ABA League. Coach Vladimir Jovanović’s team had the advantage in the Hall of sports Ranko Zeraica for most of the game, but they only broke the resistance of Split in the last quarter and came to a well-deserved victory, the fifth of the season.

At the press conference after the game, Mega’s coach Vladimir Jovanovic pointed out that offensive jump has brought a lot of good to his team:

– It is very difficult to analyze the match. We have not been able to train adequately all week. We hoped to complete the team, but we still played with only one point guard in this game. Also, during the game, we had unforeseen circumstances and that injury of Cazalon further reduced our rotation, so the level of our aggression was reduced because of that. We had an early lead, but they found a way to punish us on a low post, primarily through Vuko. But, the offensive jump brought us a lot of good things in the second half, especially in the field of self-confidence, so we threw in some open shots that we missed in the first half. I would like to congratulate Split on a really fair game and fight and I would like to wish them good luck in the continuation of the league. Congratulations to my guys on the victory. I can’t be satisfied with the game, but let this game be a slogan and a reason to better prepare for the next round next week,

said coach of Mega.
