MEGA ON SATURDAY AGAINST MORNAR IN BAR, JOVANOVIC: “WE HAVE TO BE FOCUSED ON DEFENSIVE TASKS”

On Saturday, December 4, at 5 pm, Mega Mozzart will continue competition in the ABA League, when they will be a guest of the Mornar-Barsko zlato in Bar within the 10th round of regional competition. After the break due to the FIBA window, coach Vladimir Jovanovic’s team will have the opportunity to get even closer to the place that leads to the playoffs with a possible victory in Bar, since they have one victory behind the teams that are currently in the playoff zone.

Before the match against Mornar, Mega’s coach Vladimir Jovanovic pointed out that his team must primarily be focused on defensive tasks:

– In the previous few seasons, Mornar has made extraordinary results, they have always been highly ranked in the ABA league. Mornar team has been playing very good basketball for years, led by coach Pavićevic. They have an attacking aggressive style with a lot of shots for three points and they haven’t changed that this season either. Therefore, as far as we are concerned, we have to be concentrated for all 40 minutes, to find our rhythm of the game, but above all we have to be very focused on defensive tasks because otherwise Mornar will use it wisely since they have an experienced team,

said coach of Mega.

Mega and Mornar have met 9 times so far in the ABA league with a score of 6-3 for Mega. In the last match between these two teams in the 18th round of last season, Mega celebrated at home with 90:89 with a lay-up of Smith in the last second. In the last round of the regional competition, Mega beat Cedevita Olimpija at home with 104:75, while Mornar was better than Split at home with 81:65.

Before the game in Bar, Guard of Mega Malcolm Cazalon pointed out that his team is expecting a difficult match, but that he wants to continue in the right direction:

– After the important victory against Cedevita Olimpija in the last round, it is certain that we want to continue in that direction. A difficult match awaits us, Mornar started to improve his form after a weaker start and we will have to prepare well and enter the game concentrated if we want a positive outcome, which would surely mean a lot to us,
