JOVANOVIC: “WE HAVE LOST THE GAME IN THE FIRST HALF WITH THE APPROACH”

In the 8th round of the ABA League, Mega Mozzart lost on road to Igokea with 79:63 (18:15, 24:17, 16:16, 21:15). At the end of the first half, coach Vladimir Jovanovic’s team allowed the home team to break away, and then chased the gap in the other 20 minutes, but they did not manage to jeopardize the home team’s victory.

At the press conference after the game, Mega’s coach Vladimir Jovanovic pointed out that his team practically lost the game in the first half:

– From the beginning, we did not open the game in the way we wanted. They established the criterion of contact, opened the game very well with a jump in attack that instilled confidence in their team and in the end they had very good percentages of shots from outside in both the first and second quarters. I would say that we practically lost the game in the first half, primarily with our approach where we were not at the level of contact and jump, which brought them a lot of good things and in the end they deservedly won. I would like to congratulate Igokea on the victory and to wish them luck in the continuation of the championship, and it is up to us to continue working,

said Jovanovic.
