JOVANOVIC: “AGAINST CEDEVITA OLIMPIJA KEY HAS TO BE IN OUR DEFENSE”

Coach Vladimir Jovanovic’s team is in great shape with six victories in the last seven matches, so in the match against the Slovenian team, they will have the opportunity to confirm their place at the top of the regional competition standings.

Before the duel against Cedevita Olimpija, Mega’s coach Vladimir Jovanovic stated hat his team must stop the shot for three points of the opponent:

– Cedevita Olimpija is a very good team composed of experienced players from this area who have experience of playing in the ABA league, but also in European competitions such as the Euroleague and the Eurocup. It is certain that they have ambitions to achieve good results in all competitions in which they participate, and they are currently well ranked in both in ABA league and Eurocup, where they advanced to the Top 16 phase. A very demanding match awaits us, Cedevita Olimpija is an excellent attacking team that runs very well and shoots from all positions, especially for three points. The key to the game must be in our defense and to try to concentrate during all 40 minutes to stop their shot for three points, which is one of their biggest weapons,

After 12 rounds of the ABA league, Mega Soccerbet is currently in second place with a score of 9-3 while Cedevita Olimpija has 6 wins and 3 defeats with three games less. In the last round, Mega defeated FMP in Zeleznik with 91:92, while Cedevita Olimpija also played against FMP in Zeleznik in the last game in 2020, where they lost with 91:88.

We are preparing for the match as against any other opponent, we are aware of their qualities, but we will try to use all our advantages to come to victory. I believe that we will succeed against such a quality opponent with our good game to show that our good results are not a coincidence and that we are where we are now for a reason,
