Great start to the season for Mega Soccerbet!

Basketball players of Mega triumphantly opened the season in the ABA league, as they convincingly celebrated in Laktasi in the 1st round against the home team Igokea with 62:84 (21:22, 15:26, 14:21, 12:15). The players of coach Vladimir Jovanovic controlled the game and the result during the entire course of the match, not giving any chance to the home team to return to the match, in order to reach a more than convincing victory in the end.

The most efficient in the ranks of Mega were Marko Simonovic with 19 points, with 13 rebounds added, as well as Filip Petrusev with 17 points and 7 rebounds. In Igokea, Josilo and Carmichael were the most efficient with 11 points each.

Mega Soccerbet will meet Zadar in the next round of the ABA league, and the match is scheduled for Sunday, October 11 at 7 pm in the Hall of Sport Ranko Zeravica.

Vladimir Jovanovic started the match with the following five: Smith, Momirov, Cerovina, Simonovic and Petrusev. A good start to the second quarter for Mega, where Miskovic tied nine points (two threes) in a short period of time for Mega’s lead of 27:33. Clemmons only briefly interrupts Mege’s run with a triple for the home team. Cazalon from the offensive rebound, and then Simonovic with a triple and points from the paint, gave Mega a double-digit advantage, 30:40 in a little less than four minutes until halftime. Simonovic hits from the paint under a foul, and after three free throws by Miskovic, Mega took the lead with 33:47. However, after two great defenses by Mega and a dunk by Miskovic and Cazalon in the counter, the coach of Igokea had to request a time-out. In the remaining time, Mega’s basketball players kept a great advantage, so the result before the last quarter is 50:69.

In the last 10 minutes of the game, Mega’s basketball players did not allow the tempo to drop, so with a lot of attractive moves, they reached the biggest plus 27, and the game ended with the result 62:84.
