MATURE GAME OF MEGA, IGOKEA DEFEATED IN SREMSKA MITROVICA

Basketball players of Mega Bemax played the last match in front of their fans in 2018 after they defeated Igokea in the PSC Pinki Hall in Sremska Mitrovica with 93:88 (16:23, 26:17, 31:23, 20:25) iwithin the match of the 12th round of the ABA League. Dejan Milojević’s players for the most of the match controled the game in order to denied the attacks of the visiting team for the eighth victory in the league. The coach of Mega Bemax at this match could not count on Kostja Mushidi and his debut in the Mega’s jersey had Zoran Nikolic, who for the 11 minutes on the field had 2 points, 5 rebounds and 1 steal.

The most effective in the ranks of Mega Bemax were Andrija Marjanovic with 19 points and Luka Asceric with 17 while Adam Mokoka to 15 points added 6 rebounds and 7 assists. In the ranks of the Igokea, Tomislav Zubcic and Latavius Williams both scored 16 points.

After the 12th round of the ABA league, Mega Bemax has a score of 8-4 while Igokea has stayed on 4 wins. In the next round on December 28th at 6 pm, Mega Bemax will play FMP in Zeleznik.

Before the start of the match, the audience in the hall welcomed the former player of Mega Bemax Sava Lesic, who received a special gift from the General Manager of the club Goran Cakic.

Dejan Milojević started the match with Carapic, Mokoka, Marjanovic, Fundic and Nikolic. Mokoka opens the match with a triple, but the guests are better off at the start and they reach 6:10 advantage. Mokoka and Stanic hit the basket from the paint, and then the triple scored Ratkovic for 14:12. However, finish belongs to Igokea, so the result after the first quarter is 16:23.

Little by little, Mega melts the advantage of Igokea and with Fundic’s points gets to the advantage, 34:33. In the finish, Mokoka and Carapic retained Mega’s advantage for the half-time to end with 42:40.

After a break at the half-time, Marjanovic tied 9 points, and after the triple Miskovic and points of Carapic under the foul, Mega led with 57:49. However, Igokea does not surrender, drops the difference to 3 points, 64:61 and the problem is also 5th personal for Nikolic who must go to the bench. The finish belongs to Mega, who with the 9:0 series gets to a two-digit advantage, and the result before the last 10 minutes of the game is 73:63.

The last quarter starts with a mini series of guests 0:5 interrupted by Asceric with a triple. Fundic is great in defense and Mega comes to a maximum of plus 13, 90:77 with 4 minutes to the end. The guests are moving into the last attack, dropping the difference to 5 points, but Mega is good in the rebounding and from the free throw line and finally celebrates with 93:88.
