MILOJEVIC: “I AM GLAD THAT WE DIDN’T GAVE UP, IT’S HARD TO BEAT PARTIZAN WITH BAD SHOOTING LIKE THIS”

Mega Bemax experienced the first defeat this season in the ABA league since they lost to Partizan with 74:81 in front of 2.500 spectators of crowded hall PSC Pinki in Sremska Mitrovica.

At the press conference after the match, Mega Bemax coach Dejan Milojevic stated that he was glad that the team did not gave up even when they were losing with two-digit difference:

– I congratulate Partizan on winning. Today we played an offensive bad match, but the defense was not great either. It’s very hard to play when you’re shooting 3/31 for 3 points and when you miss 12 free throws. In that case, you can hardly beat the team with a quality team like Partizan. Despite all this, we managed to get close to four points of minus, but then at that moment we made bad decisions, we did not have a good plays, we received three. Nevertheless, I’m glad the team did not give up when they were two-digit difference. My players showed character and desire, but with such a poor percentage of shot it’s hard to win. We have two away games, first in Zadar and we will try each match to win and continue a good series. The guys did their best, but when they entered the bad rhythm, with a low percentage of realization we could not punish some situations. Partizan used this after deliberately provoked our bad shooting, and if 2 three pointers were hit, it would probably change situation, but it did not. To Partizan and Trinkieri I wish all the best in the continuation of the season,

Milojevic said.
