U15 FINALS TOURNAMENT, FIRST DAY REPORT

The first day of the Final Tournament of the Serbian championship for pioneers (U15), which is being held in the Mega Factory Hall in Belgrade, is finished and the fight for the title will be continued on Saturday by Banjica Mega, Crvena Zvezda mts, Vizura and Mladost.

Miodrag Bosnjak welcomed by all participants and visitors of the Final Tournament of the Serbian Championship for Pioneers on behalf of KK Banjica Mega, and then the tournament was officially opened by the Vice President of the Basketball Association of Serbia, Igor Rakocevic.

Pioneers of KK Banjica Mega advanced with no major problems to the semi-finals of U15 Serbian championship for since they defeated the team of Petrovgrad with 95:64 (28:11, 17:17, 29:16, 21:20). The players of coach Aleksandar Colic, who are defending the title won last year, have already gained advantage of 17 points in the first quarter, so that in the rest of the match, they achieved more convincing victory.

The most efficient in the ranks of KK Banjica Mega were Nikola Petojevic and Filip Stanojevic both with 17 points while Lazar Andric had 14 points and 12 rebounds. Savo Sormaz scored 12 points in the Petrovgrad.

To the quarter-finals advanced also Crvena zvezda mts, which was convincing against Partizan NIS with 79:59 (22:12, 25: 8, 21:19, 11:20). The pioneers of Zvezda with good defense caused great problems to their peers from Partizan, and they already resolved the question of the winner at half time, as the result was 47:20 after 20 minutes of the game. In the rest of the match, the pioneers of Zvezda routinely brought the match to the end.

The best in the ranks of the Crvena zvezda were Lazar Dobric and Ognjen Vukas both with 10 points and 9 assists. The most effective in Partizan was Sergej Cvetkovic with 23 points.

In the first quarter-finals of (U15) pioneers championship of Serbia which is held in the Mega Factory hall in Belgrade, Vizura defeated Foka with 83:88 (22:14, 24:21, 18:22, 19:31). Pioneers of Foka had 18 points advantage in the first half, but Vizura did not gave up, and with a big reversal in the last quarter, won at the end.

Andrej Joksimovic with 32 points and 8 rebounds and Andrija Grbovic with 28 points and 21 rebounds where the best in Vizura, while Stanisa Djonovic scored 16 points and Nikola Stevovic with 15 points were the best on the other side.

In the second quarter-finals of Serbia’s championship for pioneers, Mladost was convincing against Kris Kros with 72:45 (21:15, 10:9, 18:10, 23:11). Pioneers of Mladost in the third quarter separated to 19 points advantage after which Kris Kros did not endangered the by the end of the match.

The best in the team of Mladost were Srdjan Popovic with 20 points and 11 rebounds, as well as Aleksandar Jankovic with 17 points and 11 rebounds while Marko Zecevic with 12 points was the most effective in the team Kris Kros.
