MEGA WITH LOKOMOTIV IN THE FINALS OF MEGA BEMAX CUP

Lokomotiv Kuban won against Partizan NIS with 97:75 (28:20, 25:19, 20:19, 24:17) within the second semi-final match of the Mega Bemax Cup played at the hall Mega Factory in Belgrade. Sasa Obradovic’s team reached the double-digit advantage in the second quarter, which black and white team tried to get back in the second half, but guests from Russia eventually came to the convincing win.

The best in the ranks of the winning team were Joe Ragland with 21 points and Brian Qvale with 16 while Nigel Williams-Goss scored 17 points in Partizan.

Mega Bemax and Lokomotiv Kuban will meet in the finals of Mega Bemax Cup on Wednesday at 20:45, while Partizan NIS and Telenet Giants Antwerp will play for the third place from 18:30.

At the beginning of the game, a balanced match was seen and then the team from Russia slowly began to separate for 28:20 at the end of the first quarter. In the second quarter Partizan was in the game held by Goss, but the team from Kuban still reached the two-digit advantage, 53:39 at half-time.

In the second half of the game, Partizan tried to lower the lead and put the game to the uncertain finish, but the team from Russia took advantage of the mistakes of Partizan well and ultimately reached a convincing win, 97:75.
